| Children must remain with their parents if they have any of the following symptoms within the last 24 hours: fever, vomiting, congested cough, or pink eye. Parents should check with their physician before assuming that a runny nose or similar symptoms are allergies, rather than something contagious. As a general rule, a sick child should not attend class if he/she has a risk of spreading serious diseases to others, or if the child is not able to keep up with most activities. Lastly, a child should not attend class if the church staff is not able to offer the extra care needed to comfort the sick child without compromising the care of other children. Parents are responsible for notifying the staff of any special medical needs. |
