What is alpha?

The Alpha course is a ten week practical introduction to the Christian faith. It is designed primarily for non-churchgoers and those who have recently become Christians. It was established around 20 years ago at an Anglican Church in the UK called Holy Trinity Brompton and there are now more than 9,000 Alpha courses all over the UK and internationally. This year over 250,000 people attended an Alpha course. Next year over 500,000 people will attend.

Alpha environment

Alpha Course is free and is for everyone! It's especially geared towards those interested in Christianity, a new-comer to the church, someone who never got off the ground as a Christian, or is a new Christian. The course runs once a week on a weeknight for ten weeks. The evening starts at 6:30 pm with dinner, which is followed by a brief teaching. We then divide into smaller groups for coffee and dessert and have a discussion where no question is taboo. We will end promptly at 9:15 pm.
